Graffiti and Vandalism on the Rise in Bacolod City
Bacolod City, the Provincial Capital of Negros Occidental; the City of Smiles; being awarded as the Most Competitive and Livable Mid-sized City and the Cleanest and the Greenest highly urbanized in the country.
What an achievement for a city, more technologies, more tourists and more business opportunities! But if there are developments in a city there are also the downside of it. Let us try to take a visit in the sidewalk and streets of Bacolod and let us see the situation.

In this picture we see one of the downside of the city, as we can see, Bacolodnons are ignoring the gradual increase of Graffitis and Vandalism in Bacolod City

We can see here an abandoned area which were formerly a “Bacolod Live” entertainment then was change to “Lloyd Fastfood” then now a demolished area, but if you can take a look more closer, the place is now filled with vandalism of gangs which are designed with different style of graffiti, more like scribbles and art.

Then we see here not only abandoned buildings are being vandalized but also fast food chains like this one on the picture and overlapping some advertisements being painted on the wall and dormitories and even the one and only overpass in Negros located near the Robinson’s Supermall Bacolod.

Are the authorities taking action in this city? This problem seems to be ignored by the public officials, but in every week we can see new graffitis and writings on the wall and public places here in Bacolod City.
